"Beef in Mole! The poor beef!"
As last night was with some unwanted roommates and other fun, we moved to another hotel right after breakfast. During breakfast we met some other 4 people from DebConf - Mexico is small, there are only like 30 people from DebConf travelling, and about 7 of them slept, without coordination, in the same hotel some 7 hours away from Mexico City.
After a short walk through Oaxaca we found one of the hotels, Las Mariposas, that we selected prior to the trip and planned to stay there for some 3 nights, to have some time in and around Oaxaca. We did take some pictures on the way to it and the first impression was a "Nice".
This day we had not planned much, so we just looked around in Oaxaca (ok, a Siesta from 1200 til 1500 was also ok). Nice city with some churches and old buildings (ok, the part of the town thats usually looked at by tourists like us. Im sure it has much worse places).
We only had one problem there - unfortunately the teachers of the state Oaxaca decided to have a strike right at that time, so half Oaxaca was blocked from them. Sometimes with stuff that low that I really had problems to move from one place to another. Even the small Mexican people couldn't move everywhere without beeing careful. Damn teachers.
The evening was short for us, as we planned to get some sleep in preparation for the next day, a visit of Monte Alban. But first we found some nice free Wlan in our hotel.
